Choose from:

Concrete & Mason Sand

Designed for light concrete and stucco applications, concrete sand is a course-washed material that’s an ideal base for under pavers and flagstone. Its fine-grained counterpart, mason sand, is a cost effective and better alternative to beach sand. Use it in kids’ sandboxes, on volleyball courts or as an additive to cement to make mortar for laying bricks.

Cedar Hill sells concrete and mason sand by the cubic yard. Our minimum amount to deliver is one cubic yard.

Quarry Processed Aggregate

When layered on a subgrade (properly excavated and compacted to a 90-95% maximum density), quarry processed aggregate offers excellent performance as a base material. The appropriate depth depends on the application – roughly three inches for walkways and five inches for driveways.

Cedar Hill sells quarry processed aggregate by the cubic yard. Our minimum amount to deliver is one cubic yard.  We also deliver Tandem Tri-Axle loads by the ton.  A CY equals about 1.3 to 1.5 ton.

To determine the number of cubic yards to order, calculate the number of square feet to cover. Then find the number in the table below that corresponds to the desired depth of coverage. Divide the total number of square feet by that number to arrive at the number of cubic yards (cy).

Stone Dust

Use this finely crushed material as a strong, compacted base for pavers. While seemingly light, its weight and stability increases when moistened. Lay enough stone dust to bring pavers to the desired level, tamp and level while moistening with water.

Driveway Stone

Predominantly grey, this ¾” crushed stone compacts well and provides a lasting stone layer. Its sharp edges ensure the material stays in place, without rolling away from high spots.

Driveway Stone has many uses including Driveways, as an ingredient in Asphalt, for high pressure concrete mixes, a base under concrete foundations, and for drainage in septic systems, around foundations, or in gullies.

Dense Grated Aggregate

This maximum density mix produces ideal compaction and conforms to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Apply to a minimum 4-6” depth on a properly graded surface.  Because it is near maximum density there are little to no separation during placement.

Cedar Hill sells dense graded aggregate by the cubic yard. Our minimum amount to deliver is one cubic yard.

Infield Clay Mix

The proper infield mix is vital to the success of baseball and softball fields.  Keep in mind these important facts when selecting your next infield mix.

  1. Gravel Content - Infield mixes should contain less than 4% gravel (material retained on the #10 sieve).
  2. Clay Content - The clay content of an infield mix should range between 12%-20%.  A higher clay content will result in fields that require excessive maintenance, watering, and raking.  Insufficient clay content will result in fields that are either loose and sandy, or wet and muddy.
  3. Sand Content - Sand content should be 70%-85%.  Too much sand will cause a field to be "loose" and dusty, while not enough sand will inhibit drainage and make a field unplayable even after small amounts of rain.
  4. Silt Content - Silt content should be 2%-15%.  With higher amounts of silt the field retains too much water, causing it to become muddy and slick.  An insufficient amount of silt will prohibit the field from holding moisture, causing it to become dusty and dry.

Cedar Hill's standard infield mix contains the perfect balance of these components, providing an optimal environment for a high level of play while requiring minimal field maintenance.
