We get involved early in the planning phase, working with the design engineers to ensure all the pieces are in place for a top-of-the-line field: multi-layer construction with base, multi-layer drainage and laser grading. We clear and strip the topsoil, make cuts and fills, then return the on-site soil and import more topsoil, if necessary. From there we seed and mulch, punctuating the entire process with frequent site inspections.

We also prepare sites for synthetic turf. We'll clear trees, strip off topsoil, then set the subgrade and drainage stones. Proper drainage is most critical. The subgrade directs water out to the perimeter or into the middle of the field, depending on the site conditions. This level helps direct the water toward trench drains, which are backfilled with a one-foot depth of drainage stones.
